The first Food Truck Festival in Croatia, which has been a great success since its launch, is set to resume at Lake Jarun in Zagreb.

This year’s edition is expected to be the largest yet, with over 20,000 visitors expected from May 25 to June 12.

With a rich offer of great food and even better music and entertainment, the Food Truck Festival has very quickly become one of Zagreb’s favorite street festivals.

Located by Lake Jarun, on the green oasis near Aquarius, it is a favorite summer spot for many to stroll and socialize in the shade with a glass of beer and street food.

The Food Truck Festival opens to all visitors on Thursday, May 26 at 4 p.m. and with a traditional Ljetno kino concert at 8 p.m.

There will be free concerts by local artists, starting at 8 p.m., every weekend.

The street food on offer will include burgers, barbecues, fish specialties, ethnic specialties and sandwiches, donuts and craft ice cream, but also drinks such as craft beer, gin, cocktails, ice cream aperol spritz, coffee and juice.

Zadar’s “Picnic” will showcase its offering in “Podravka Food Court” for the first time, along with its multi-award-winning Blackie burger, Zagreb street food institution “El Toro”, the Slavic “Time Out”, American specialties such as fries / nachos by Vegeta Grill Marinada BBQ from the “Loaded” truck and fantastic fish snacks in the form of sushi, fish tacos at the “Cromaris food corner”.

“Reshetka powered by Đurina hiža” from Varaždin, which will present its two new burgers to the public in Zagreb, will make a special appearance at the festival on Thursday, June 9.

Sweet lovers will get their money’s worth in the sweet zone where they can taste a rich selection of Croatian artisanal ice creams at the food truck “Pri suncu”, prepared by the young pastry chef Nina Šarić and exquisite donuts at the “Nadina fritule”.

Find refreshment in the shade of Jarun Oasis in the Medvedgrad, Badel, Jack Daniels, Hendricks, Cocktails, Aperol Spritz, Pipi and Jamnica areas.

There are also many weekend children’s workshops, an open-air library, a fashion flea market, a small plot to buy local seasonal products, a possibility to take photos on a unique retro vehicle, a photo bus and many other fun activities.

All Food Truck Festival events and concerts are free to visitors, and the festival is open to visitors on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., while weekends from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
