US demand for Dubrovnik and Croatia increases by 205%

Dubrovnik undoubtedly stands out as one of the most popular destinations to visit in the summer. A Forbes article indicates that on the popular KAYAK travel search page, US demand for Dubrovnik as a travel destination for this summer season saw a search jump of 205%, followed by Zurich with a growth of 167% , Prague with 144 percent and Reykjavik with 143 percent growth. The article says the growth in research is directly linked to the easing of passenger restrictions in Croatia and Iceland, and mentions that Croatia and Greece are currently the top destinations on the yacht charter site Click & Boat.
Well-known American television network CNBC says Internet search in Croatia is increasing by 31% and that in Iceland by 22%. Although Americans are expected to travel to their own country the most in 2021, airline searches rose 47% after an optimistic statement from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen suggested that Americans vaccinated could travel to Europe this summer. The famous American newspaper The New York Times also writes on the conditions of arrival and stay in Croatia, as well as the measures currently in force.
