This “affordable” cruise ship will allow you to live at sea and travel the world at the same time

Have you ever wondered what life on a cruise ship would be like?

A company called Storylines offers people the chance to experience a The suite life on deck with its new liveable cruise ship, where you can actually own or rent a unit on board while traveling the seas.

Setting sail in 2024, the MV Narrative will have 547 residences ranging from 247 to 1,940 square feet, according to the company.

Although buying one of these units will cost you between $875,000 and $8 million, Storylines says it will also have rooms available for a 12 to 24 month lease starting at $400,000.

OK, so $400,000 is still pretty expensive, but Storylines says it will have financing options to help you live out your dream of living at sea.

While owning property on a ship isn’t for everyone, Storylines will allow owners to rent out their units when they’re not using them, so there should be plenty of options for those on a budget.

Scenarios

There are units available with one to four bedrooms, which means you can get plenty of space to accommodate your family or friends.

Most rooms have balconies, perfect for sitting out and watching the sun go down over the ocean from your houseboat.

“Our resident owners want to be able to sleep outside under the stars, watch movies outdoors, play pickleball on an open patio, walk their dogs, and dine al fresco,” Storylines Sales Manager Irina Strembitsky said in A press release.

Guests will have access to 20 restaurants, a microbrewery, a movie theater, a golf simulator, a bowling alley, an art studio, and three swimming pools with sundecks, among other amenities.

There’s also a gym on board because let’s face it, you can’t always be sitting by the pool relaxing!

This ship is expected to circumnavigate the globe every 1,000 days, providing residents with several days of exploration in each port.

A sample itinerary on the site includes stops in several cities in Italy, Slovenia, Malta, Montenegro and Croatia over a three-month period, so there will be plenty to see if you hop on board.

The best part is that you can vote to stay longer in certain ports, because this ship is not limited to the typical itinerary of a passenger cruise ship!

The opportunity to live is excellent if you are tired of living in a country house – and you have money.
