A better way to travel.

A recent to study discovered that meat is responsible for 57% of greenhouse gases from food production. Producing plant-based foods is much better for the planet. For years the consumption of meat has been steadily increasing, but this year it is reported that meat sales are down in the United States, Europe and Argentina.

While the trend definitely matches the economic downturn, the world has recently turned to vegetarian options. From the climate crisis to animal cruelty to health issues, there are many factors that have prompted people around the world to resort to plant-based diets. In the United States, about 3% of Americans identify as vegans. Shell meat companies Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods have become extremely popular, with more celebrities going vegan and defend this way of life. There is definitely a new taste for veganism, and the travel industry is responding to it.

With this change, vegan restaurants and hotels are popping up all over the world, and now there are vegan tour operators and travel agencies that help you plan a trip that fits your lifestyle. Food, of course, is a big part of it, but they also focus on non-exploitative experiences for animals and humans. (For example, they’ll make sure hotels don’t have leather furniture or toiletries with animal products.)

Years ago, a vegan trip was a daunting task, but with these players dealing with a new set of travelers, there’s no need to survive on fries and sides! You don’t have to be vegan to join these tours, but you will experience the way of life if you decide to embark on a new adventure.
