Thailand’s second Kimpton hotel to be located on Koh Samui

IHG has signed a Kimpton hotel in Koh Samui, the popular tourist island in the Gulf of Thailand.
Currently under construction and slated to open in Q4 2021, the Kimpton Koh Samui will be the Kingdom’s second Kimpton hotel, following the brand’s Bangkok debut in October 2020.
The 138-key beachfront property will be located at the northern end of Choengmon Beach, a short drive from Chaweng Beach, Bophut Fishing Village, and Koh Samui International Airport (USM ).
Kimpton Koh Samui will offer its guests a choice of rooms, suites and luxury villas with swimming pools, the latter having direct access to the beach.
The complex will include four restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, spa, fitness center, kids’ club and 124m² of versatile meeting and event space. The hotel also accepts pets.

This signing is part of Kimpton’s continued momentum in new urban markets and resort destinations across Asia, following Kimpton Da An in Taipei, Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok in Thailand and Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo in Japan.
With upcoming openings in Asia in Bali, Suzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nanjing, Sanya and Kuala Lumpur, the brand will also expand in Germany, Mexico and the Netherlands.
