July 5, 2021 – The 12 hotel companies of the Croatian Tourism Association (HUT), in cooperation with four ministries, have decided to offer free holidays on the coast to more than 1,000 students and teachers from 13 schools in the county of Sisak-Moslavina. areas.

As part of this program, the first students received a free holiday on the Adriatic coast in June, and the program will also be implemented in September and October.

HUT Director Veljko Ostojić and Tourism and Sports Minister Nikolina Brnjac said the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Ministry of Economic and Sustainable Development were also included on Monday in this project.

The ministries will cover the costs of additional student activities while the hotel companies will provide accommodation and meals.

“All HUT members responded to this call, just as they did immediately after the earthquake (December 29) in Banovina when they donated 116 mobile homes and 262 others in agreement with the government. This shows the solidarity and social sensitivity of tourism companies. to help people in difficulty and at a time when they themselves are not in an ideal position due to their business situation during the pandemic, ”said Ostojić.

Minister Brnjac welcomed the gesture, adding that it was about the continued cooperation with HUT to help Sisak-Moslavina County.

Principal of Mate Lovrak Primary School in Petrinja, Ankica Krnjajić Magdić, expressed her gratitude for the initiative on behalf of all students and their teachers.

“It is a unique experience for our children after a very difficult school year, and I am delighted that we were the first school to be covered by this program in June,” she said.
