Ryanair Croatia birthday praises Irish budget carrier
June 4, 2022 – Ryanair Croatia’s birthday took place recently, which recognized and marked the first anniversary of the opening of routes by this popular Irish airline from the Croatian capital.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Darko Bicak writes, the largest European airline currently in operation, and as they themselves point out, the largest airline in all of Croatia, the budget Irish Ryanair, celebrated the anniversary of the launch of its operations in Zagreb.
The company pointed out that, with a total of 27 routes to various European cities from Zagreb airport, it has good bookings in its biggest summer flight schedule for Zadar.
Ryanair’s three planes in Zagreb represent a massive investment of US$300 million, which will support over 90 well-paying aviation jobs and over 1,000 total jobs in Zagreb itself.
Ryanair’s head of sales and marketing for the EEC and the Balkans, Olga Pawlonka, says Ryanair will operate (from Zagreb alone) nearly 80 weekly flights throughout the summer of 2022, 30 more than the year last, to offer customers in Zagreb a wide choice of European flights. destinations to head to, such as London, Milan, Paris or popular holiday destinations (Brindisi, Corfu and Malaga), giving an extremely welcome boost to Zagreb tourism after two consecutive years more or less entirely lost due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ryanair pointed out that its customers in Zagreb can plan a getaway at the lowest price of just 159 kuna (19.99 euros) one-way until October 2022.
As Tadej Notersberg, CEO of Lauda Europe, a company that is part of Rynair with its trademark fleet of 29 Airbus 320s, recently pointed out; besides Zadar and Zagreb, their planes are based in Vienna, London Stantsed and Palma de Mallorca (Spain). The global coronavirus crisis has severely disrupted air traffic across Europe for two years, but with the lifting of epidemiological restrictions in most countries, they are finally returning to previous levels.
“We are satisfied with the way business in Croatia has gone so far, and the forecast speaks of further growth. That is why we are increasing the fleet, the number of flights and the number of routes”, concluded Nottersberg on this. Anniversary of Ryanair Croatia.
