Norwegian Fleet Locations: June Update

After completing its restart plans in May, Norwegian Cruise Line began June with its entire fleet of 17 ships in service.

Cruise Industry News tracked the location and status of every Norwegian vessel as of June 10, 2022:

norwegian prima
Year built: 2022
Capacity: 3,215 guests
Status: Under construction
Location: Marghera, Italy

Currently in the final stages of construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Norwegian Prima is preparing for her maiden cruise in August.

Still Norwegian
Year built: 2019
Capacity: 4,200 guests
Status: In service
Location: Alaska

After a winter season in the Caribbean, Norwegian Encore launched a summer schedule in Alaska in early May. The ship now offers seven-night cruises from Seattle to Victoria, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Glacier Bay.

Norwegian happiness

Capacity: 4,200 guests
Status: In service
Location: Alaska

The Norwegian Bliss is currently based in Seattle for a series of week-long cruises in Alaska. The ship’s regular itinerary includes visits to Victoria, Ketchikan, Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Icy Strait Point and Sitka.

Location: Bermuda

Departing from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal every Sunday, Norwegian Joy offers a series of cruises to Bermuda through mid-August. Week-long itineraries include a visit to Norfolk, plus a three-day stop at King’s Wharf.

Norwegian Getaway

Capacity: 4,200 guests

Location: Eastern Mediterranean

After crossing the Atlantic in April, Norwegian Escape is currently sailing various routes in the Eastern Mediterranean. Departing from Civitavecchia, a port near Rome, the 10- and 11-night cruises offer port visits to Greece, Malta, Italy and more.

Norwegian getaway

Capacity: 4,000 guests
Status: In service
Location: Northern Europe

The Norwegian Getaway is currently completing a shortened Baltic season before returning to North America later this month. In March, the 2014-built ship saw most of its northern European itineraries replaced by a series of Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral.

Norwegian Breakaway offers seven-night Caribbean cruises departing from PortMiami. This week, the ship’s itinerary included visits to Amber Cove, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay.

Location: Western Mediterranean

Part of Norwegian’s eight-ship European summer schedule, Norwegian Epic is currently sailing in the Western Mediterranean. Visiting Spain, France and Italy, the ship’s itinerary sails to Barcelona, ​​Civitavecchia, Cannes, Palma de Mallorca, Livorno, Naples and Ajaccio.

Another Norwegian ship with a summer program in Europe, the Norwegian Gem is currently in the Eastern Mediterranean. Departing from Trieste every Sunday, the 2,400 guests sail on a seven-night itinerary that includes ports in Croatia, Italy and Greece.

The Norwegian Pearl is currently based in Boston for a series of week-long cruises to Bermuda and Maine.

After a series of West Coast cruises, Norwegian Pearl kicked off a summer season in Alaska and Canada on April 22. The ship now offers open mouth cruises between Vancouver and Seward.

Location: Hawaii

The Hawaii-based Norwegian ship, the Pride of America, resumed its year-round inter-island cruise schedule in April.

Norwegian Dawn currently offers various itineraries in Northern Europe. Sailing from England, the Netherlands and Sweden, the ship visits the British Isles, the Baltic, Scandinavia and more.

Location: Northern Europe

After a two-year hiatus, Norwegian Star welcomed guests back on April 3, launching a European summer schedule. The 2001-built vessel now sails Northern Europe, with itineraries visiting Iceland, Norway, the British Isles and more.

Norwegian Sun currently offers five- to nine-night cruises to Alaska. Based in Seattle, the ship built in 2001 returned to service in May.

Norwegian spirit

Location: Hawaii

After welcoming guests in May for a series of South Pacific cruises, Norwegian Spirit will spend the next summer season in Alaska and Canada. On June 12, the ship is scheduled to depart Hawaii for a 16-night repositioning voyage to Vancouver.
