More Germans in Croatia than all foreigners combined
May 29, 2021 – According to the eVisitor system, there are currently 85,000 tourists in Croatia. The Germans in Croatia are taking the lead, which are already Croatia’s most loyal and numerous foreign guests. Namely, there are more German tourists in Croatia than all the other foreigners combined!
To put it in perspective, of the 85,000 tourists to Croatia, as many as 40,000 are Germans. From Saturday, Slovaks, Hungarians and Czechs will be arriving in droves, and 30,000 have already bought tickets for the Adriatic, Sata reported on Friday 24th.
Last week, the daily number of tourists to Croatia was around 45,000 people. Last weekend and Pentecost, as expected, brought growth and an additional 40,000 new customers, and the good news is that they are all staying on the Croatian coast.
Croatian tourists come in second, with 12,000 currently in Croatian tourist destinations, followed by Slovenians (5,500), Austrians (5,000), Poles (4,000), Czechs (3,000) and even, which is somewhat unexpected , 1,200 American tourists!
There are still far fewer customers than the 2019 record where 230,000 tourists were registered in Croatia on the same day in May, but it is much better than last year when Croatia only had 22,000 guests on the same day in May. .
Many therefore see the current result as a good start and confirmation that in 2021 we can expect more guests and overnight stays than last year and at least 60% of tourist traffic than what the hosts had. in the best tourist year (2019). far.
From Saturday, this will be supported by massive arrivals from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Namely, the first train with Czech tourists left Prague on Friday – with around 400 tourists. RegioJet trains will take them regularly on holiday to the Adriatic this summer!
