Inside Rangers targets Antonio Colak’s lavish engagement as Celtic star sends celebratory message to his ‘friend’
ANTONIO COLAK could be set for another move with Rangers targeting the big forward’s signature.
The Croatian has played for three different clubs over the past three years but away from the pitch he has certainly settled in for the long haul.
SunSport understands Greek media reports of the Light Blues’ interest in the 28-year-old PAOK frontman are accurate – although an offer may not be imminent.
If Colak seems like a household name to Gers fans, it’s because he’s the man who completely dashed their Champions League ambitions last season.
It was his two terrific strikes at Ibrox that helped Malmo knock Steven Gerrard’s men out of qualifying, ending their hopes of reaching the top of European football.
But he could very well put on the Gers light blue jersey next season, and if he does go to Glasgow, he will bring his beautiful fiancée with him.
Colak popped the question to partner Diana Pavlovic earlier this month, and no expense was spared!
Diana posted several images on Instagram earlier this month that showed her man making ALL the saves.
Colak offered the luxurious Ephrussi de Rothschild, a huge opulent villa in a sensational setting in the south of France, just outside Nice.
The couple can be seen grinning from ear to ear as the PAOK man drops to his knees to ask the question.
After getting the answer he no doubt wanted, a huge love heart can be seen lit up as fireworks and pyrotechnics go off around them.
Clearly the romantic, Colak and his new bride-to-be then head inside where the large room is beautifully adorned with candles and flowers.
Diana captioned the post with, “You and me FOREVER.”
Having won three caps for Croatia, Colak already knows two Old Firm stars well.
If he moves to Ibrox, he will team up with Borna Barisic.
The left-back offered his congratulations on the engagement in the form of a like on the Instagram post.
He wasn’t the only Old Firm star to get involved, though – a CELTIC hero pops up in the comments!
Hoops defender Josip Juranovic, another Croatian star, sent his best wishes, saying: “Congratulations to my friend.”
It remains to be seen whether the two will remain good friends next season, especially if they compete on both sides of the Old Firm!
Juranovic’s future, meanwhile, has been the subject of a lot of attention this week.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano posted on Twitter on Monday that he was due to ‘leave’ Parkhead this summer.
But reports from Croatia say that is NOT the case – and the 26-year-old is happy at Celtic Park.
Juranovic signed a five-year deal with the Hoops last year when he joined Legia Warsaw.
