Dubrovnik’s tourism offer presented at the New York Travel & Adventure Show

Highlights of Dubrovnik’s tourism offerings were showcased at the New York Travel & Adventure Show at the Javits Convention Center in New York City from March 18-20.
The Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board was present at the show in New York, in fact they were co-exhibitors on a stand alongside the Croatian Tourist Board and the county tourist boards of Split, Zagreb and Lika-Senj.
Since the war in Ukraine broke out, the US market has shrunk and even started to cancel vacations and trips to Europe. And even a few major North American congresses in Dubrovnik have been canceled in recent weeks.
The first day of the travel fair was reserved for the professional public only, while Saturday and Sunday were open to everyone. The show was visited by around 600 travel agents and a total of around 35,000 visitors. “Our stand was very busy throughout the fair, and most told us they were looking forward to returning to Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik-Neretva County,” the tourist board said.
And to add that “Given the announcement of United Airlines to continue the direct flight New York – Dubrovnik this year, it was desirable to re-present our offer to the American public.” However, the longer the conflict in Ukraine drags on, the more likely American travelers are to postpone trips until next year.
