Dalmaland will open on the Croatian coast
Dalmaland will combine water attractions with thematic activities of Fun Park Biograd.
The construction of a water park and water attractions called Dalmaland has started at Fun Park Biograd in Biograd na Moru on the Croatian coast.
The pools, slides and water slides will combine with current park attractions like Jurassic World, Space, Pirate Bay and the Wild West to provide entertainment, rides and themed swims.
The water park designers and contractors are Croatian companies, while the water attractions themselves will be made by the world-renowned company Polin Waterparks, which has so far built water slides for more than 50 water parks worldwide.
Dalmaland will offer the following attractions:
Wave pool – the artificial wave pool is a special place to enjoy and relax after adrenaline rushes, from time to time the tide comes and brings with it wave after wave.
Children’s slides and swimming pool – carefree fun for children with water cannons, slides and water fountains.
Water slides with swimming pool – water descents of different heights with a multitude of light and sound effects that the whole family will enjoy in complete safety on more than 2 kilometers of trails.
diving pool – a real aquatic oasis of fun and laughter for all ages
Fast adrenaline slides – looping rocket which reaches a speed of 12.56 m/s and windigo with a speed of 11.07 m/s. Pools will have built in heat pumps to heat the pool.
Today, a number of representatives from the county, municipalities, tourist offices, hotels, Erste Bank and sponsors were present at the foundation stone ceremony, including the President of the Chamber of Commerce from Zadar County, Denis Ikić, the representative of Zadar County, Ante Vukašin, and the mayor of Biograd na Moru, Ivan Knez. Don Frane Šindija, from the parish of Biograd, led the blessing.
For the 2023 season, new equipment will also be purchased, namely that the entire Fun Park Biograd will switch to cashless payment with wristbands with an RFID reader. The total investment is worth 50 million kuna, the investment will be made from the investment loan of Erste Bank and will provide 30 additional jobs, so the number of employees in the park will be 100 employees, of which 30 full time.
Dalmaland is expected to open in May 2023.
