ZAGREB (Croatia), June 13 (SeeNews) – The Austrian Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group has announced its intention to invest 300 million euros ($315 million) in the construction of new capacity of hotels, villas and campsites in two Croatian destinations, in which it is already present – Zadar and Krk, in the next five years.
“Of the total amount to be invested, approximately 150 million euros are planned in Zadar for the Punta Skala resort. Here, in the next 5 years, we want to build outbuildings that will be part of the completely renovated Hotel Diadora, which is upgrading to 5 star category, another Premium Living product and villas. A major investment is also planned in Borik, where the company is planning major renovations and a green apartment complex, which is currently being negotiated with the authorities of the city of Zadar, in the northern part of the Adriatic region. of Dalmatia.
Additionally, the company plans to expand its presence on the island of Krk, in the Kvarner region of the northern Croatian Adriatic.
“In Punat, on the island of Krk, we are planning an investment of 65 million euros to convert, among other things, the current motorhome into a five-star premium campsite,” she added.
Falkensteiner operates 27 four- and five-star hotels and two apartment complexes in Austria, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovakia, Serbia and the Czech Republic, as well as a premium campsite in Zadar in Croatia, according to its website.
