Art Explora is developing artist villa programs in France and abroad, the main objective of which is to support creation and strengthen relations between artists, regions and all audiences.
In Paris, Art Explora has established a partnership with the International city of the arts to co-build a biannual residency program for international artists and researchers in Montmartre, a stone’s throw from the Sacré-Coeur.
About twenty residents, all working on projects questioning the link between the arts and science, technology or environmental issues, will be selected each year to participate in two programs:
–A six-month SOLO residency program for artists
–A three-month DUO program designed for a collaboration between a researcher and an artist
For the first edition, 990 applications of 68 countries have been received.
